Details
International guest speaker and new venue!
We are absolutely delighted to have Michael Sahota, CEC from Canada, speaking about a topic that is at the heart of enterprise agility - Delivering a High-Performance Agile Organisation - the topic we love so much at agile@scale.
We're running this one in partnership with the Sydney Scrum User Group (https://www.meetup.com/Sydney-Scrum/events/239444536/) at their new meetup home ING DIRECT (https://www.ingdirect.com.au/).
This event is coming up really soon and capacity will be limited so please keep your RSVP up-to-date if you're not coming so that someone who can does not miss out. Also, to avoid double-counting, make sure you RSVP to invite from one meetup group only. When you RSVP, please make sure that you are using your real first name and last name. This is a requirement from the event sponsor.
Session outline...
Delivering a High-Performance Agile Organisation
Many of us dream of creating Agile Organisations. Where we have not just Agile practices but an Agile mindset. And the passion and results that come with this. But the approaches we are using are not yielding the results we hope for. Instead we see culture challenges, resistance, and leadership confusion and low engagement.
Learn a proven path that places culture and leadership at the centre stage. When we use conscious leadership to approach Agile we get deep and lasting results. You will recognise and let go of patterns and habits that may be blocking your success. Often in our desire for success we create resistance by pushing, driving, evangelising and selling. In their place, discover leadership behaviours that we may demonstrate to foster organisational coherence and engagement. So we may invite people, teams and organisations into growth and high performance.
You will learn:
• A proven path to organisational growth and high performance
• The leadership challenges facing agile organisations
• The importance of a strong culture and leader behaviours to foster empowerment and collaboration
• What traditional habits and practices are holding you back
• A Conscious approach to Agile
• Developing organisational coherence (e.g. quality, customer delight, agility)
• Overcoming culture challenges & resistance

About Michael Sahota
I believe people deliver astounding results when we fully engage them with Purpose in Safe, Connected workplaces.
I help leaders cultivate their organisational culture. To show up in ways that invites others to show up. And to evolve structures and practices that foster a resilient adaptable organisation.
I am a guide and teacher of organisational gardening. I lead by example. I lovingly invite awareness to increase options and choice. I foster this through: training, coaching, consulting, and facilitation.
Since 2001, I have been fostering an Agile way of working. Since 2010, I have been helping organisations evolve their organisational culture and leadership to create places where "Agile" may flourish. As a Certified Enterprise Coach (CEC) and Certified Agile Leadership (CAL) Educator, I help leaders bridge the world between "Agile" and organisational reality.
