Lean Agile Procurement with Joshua Seckel

Details

Have you ever had a need for a solution and then waited months or years before you could get a team on the ground to help you deliver? Did your needs change after a contract was awarded and now you need something different? Is your IT organization ready to deliver, but you can’t get delivery teams fast enough through the contracting process? There are ways of improving the contracting process, even in government and highly regulated sectors. We will discuss some of the challenges with procurement of services and provide options for improvement, including introducing the Lean Agile Procurement model.

About the speaker:
Joshua Seckel has over a decade of experience working with agile teams, leading and developing agile coaches and leaders, conducting agile assessments, and defining and implementing agile governance, procurement, and automation. His experience includes launching agile pilots, coaching product owners and scrum masters, collaborating with contracting officers, training and coaching program/portfolio/enterprise leaders on large scale agile transformations. He has been an agile catalyst for the last 20 years within the federal government, helping various government agencies. His last 10 years have included a focus on mission or business agility beyond IT, particularly procurement and ways to increase the agility in that process.
