•OnlineAgilePDX Pub Lunch: Metrics that Matter (Agile or otherwise)
OnlineWhat metrics (agile or otherwise) have you actually found to be valuable?
Teams talk a lot about metrics — but which ones actually help teams deliver value, improve flow, and make better decisions? And which ones look good on a slide deck but don’t tell us anything meaningful? Worse yet, what have you found that's driving negative outcomes?
This month, we’re digging into the metrics that truly matter in real-world work. Whether they come from Scrum, Kanban, product management, engineering, or broader business practices, let's discuss. We’ll explore questions like:
- What metrics have consistently guided your team toward better outcomes?
- Which ones support real conversations and lead to real value?
- What common metrics have you found…less than helpful?!
- How do you use metrics without falling into command-and-control patterns?
- What non-Agile (customer, product, business) metrics have added unexpected value?
Bring your favorite measures, the ones you retired, and the ones you’re still experimenting with. This is a chance to compare notes, challenge assumptions, and learn what’s working for others.
Grab your lunch and let's discuss!
Additional Information: **Zoom details to follow, for those who register for the event.

•OnlineAgile Open Northwest Online Virtual Open Space
OnlineAgilePDX and Agile Open Northwest have similar missions and we go back many years. We’re excited to build connections between our communities.
Agile Open Northwest is a volunteer-led, not-for-profit organization that serves Agilists in the Pacific Northwest by holding open space events. Open space provides an alternative to traditional “eyes-forward” conferences and meet ups by engaging participants in conversations about the topics that matter most to them. Open space can feel like magic: The right people gather in the right place at the right time to have the right conversations.
To help our community reconnect and grow as we prepare to gather in March for our annual conference in Portland, AONW is hosting a virtual online open space events on Friday, January 16th from 9 AM to 1 PM Pacific.
Your $25 ticket comes with a discount code for the in-person Agile Open Northwest conference in March.
