AgilePDX @ Puppet: Liberating Structures for Creative and Collaborative Teamwork

Let's be honest — even within Agile's more collaborative framework, meetings can still often feel like drudgery. Join Lolo Halman as he facilitates participants through a series of Liberating Structures, a set of 33 unique and modular structures that help to unleash a team's creativity and engagement and put an end to boring meetings!

Rather than simply talk about Liberating Structures, this short workshop will take a participatory approach, inviting you to actually use these structures with one another in order to explore issues you face within your own work and how to solve them. Even through experiencing these structures just once, you'll find that they're so easy to use that you can immediately and easily integrate them into your meetings.

About the facilitator:
Lolo Halman is a group facilitator, conflict mediator, counselor, and artist/activist based in Portland, Oregon. He works with organizations and community groups to help build stronger teamwork and more collaborative organizational culture. He also uses theatre, group process, and counseling toward the internal transformation of progressive individuals, especially those with privileged identities within the issues they work on; specifically, white people engaged in racial justice work and men engaged in gender justice work.
