The abundant opportunities and challenges before us are both exciting and terrifying. And to get from the reality of today's to the promise of tomorrow, we have to do things that haven't been done before, experiment to determine what's effective, and solve problems we likely don't understand yet. Essentially, we need to improve.

And this improvement process never stops. Even when we fulfill the opportunities we know about, we discover new opportunities that are worth pursuing. Continuous improvement is natural and necessary. But it's rarely easy, especially in complex or chaotic situations. (And let's face it, the simple and deterministic problems have already been solved and optimized. So, all opportunities worth pursuing are complex!)

At this month's Agile PM Roundtable, we'll explore "Fostering a Culture of Continuous Improvement". Once people have decided to pursue an opportunity, how do they achieve their goals? What fundamental behaviors lead teams and groups to achieve success over and over again? What behaviors prevent success (over and over again)? We'll share what we know and what we're curious about.

The Roundtable leverages the Lean Coffee format to provide an open forum in which anyone can contribute their experiences, questions, and ideas. The conversation is powered by the expertise of the people who choose to participate and, while we never know exactly what will happen, it's always insightful.

We hope you'll join us!

AgilePDX in conjunction with the Portland PMI chapter provides a forum for Agile Project Managers, Agile Facilitators, and Scrum Masters to gather online once a month and discuss all things project, program, and portfolio related. Please join us for a Lean Coffee style event facilitated by experienced Agile PM's and instructors in the PMI Agile Certified Practitioner prep program.

You'll be dialing in from your desktop with your favorite early morning brew. Please join with your camera on. The Zoom URL will be provided to confirmed attendees. Feel free to post questions to this meetup prior to the event.

We welcome divergent opinions and experience reports. Bring your challenges for groups feedback and support.
