We've all seen it: The crisis hits. There's confusion about what to do, who will do it, and how we know that we're done. Then then hero comes in. In what seems like a miraculous feat of genius, the hero cuts through the confusion, does things that no one else can (often late into the night), and solves the problem. The day is saved!

Or is it?

What are you experiences with "heroes" in your teams? What happens in the days, weeks, and months after the hero swoops in? Do the problems stay fixed? Do you find yourself calling on the hero again and again? Do non-heroes get a chance to shine?

This month at the Agile PM Roundtable, we're returning from our summer break to have a discussions about heroes and heroics in your organization and on your teams.

We want to hear your real-world stories about the impact that heroes have on the outcomes that matter. We'll share our experiences of when heroics have been necessary, when they've done harm, and when we've made changes to reduce reliance on late-night, high-stress, do-or-die situations.

The Agile PM Roundtable meets in Lean Coffee. You decide which topics are most relevant, you get a chance to hear others and be heard, and you decide when it's time to move on. There's never a predetermined outcome and you're bound to learn something new!
