Agile PM Online Roundtable: Hybrid Agile: Harmonizing Differing Methodologies

Details

Some organizations are born Agile. Some orgs build their own processes, rarely deliberately. And others find that, as they grown and evolve, multiple methodologies and philosophies emerge for making decisions, communicating, and managing work.

What can we do when we find ourselves navigating the complexities of an organization with many different approaches to developing and delivering results?

In this month's Agile PM Roundtable, we'll explore our collective experiences with "Hybrid Agile" in which we must harmonize multiple aspects of the methodologies and mindsets we encounter:

  • Communication that is inconsistent and uses different vernacular.
  • Priorities across groups that are misaligned or in outright conflict.
  • Release dates and deliverables that don’t line up.
  • No agreed-upon view of the “big picture”.

On May 9th, we'll convene a Lean Coffee session to discuss these topics and any other questions related to "Hybrid Agile" that are on your mind.

That's the great thing about Lean Coffee: You choose where the conversation goes. It's a great way to learn more about the topics that are of most interest to you.

We hope to see you there!

AgilePDX is providing a forum for Agile Project Managers, Agile Facilitators, and Scrum Masters to gather online once a month and discuss all things project, program, and portfolio related. Please join us for a Lean Coffee style event facilitated by experienced Agile PM's and instructors in the PMI Agile Certified Practitioner prep program.

You'll be dialing in from your desktop with your favorite early morning brew. Please join with your camera on. The Zoom URL will be provided to confirmed attendees. Feel free to post questions to this meetup prior to the event.

We welcome divergent opinions and experience reports. Bring your challenges for groups feedback and support. Plan to join 15 minutes early for coffee clatch chat and networking or stay 15 minutes for the same networking experience.
