The Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) Guide is the Project Management Institute’s (PMI’s) framework of standards, best practices, and terminology for project management. The PMBOK has evolved over the past several years to incorporate Agile practices with more traditional project management approaches – blending mindset, technical, and practical guidance.
The latest version of the PMBOK (Version 8) continues this evolution by enhancing its alignment with agile practices while expanding the areas of AI, PMOs, and procurement.
This month Jean Richardson will present an overview of the PMBOK and specifically what's new in the latest version. Jean will provide a brief overview of the PMBOK, how it incorporates Agile practices, and its approach to providing guidance while avoiding being prescriptive.
