Meet Open Enspiral (NZ) - Europe Tour - Working in a Participatory Organization
Details
Based in the beautiful oasis of Wellington, New Zealand, Enspiral is becoming a global network of entrepreneurs and startups who share the same principles and contribute resources to fund tools and projects.
Enspiral has quickly become one of the world's pioneers when it comes to breaking ground and finding new ways to organise work. With unique innovations they have replaced not only traditional management, but also budgeting and beyond. For example, Enspiral uses their own distributed decision making and internal crowd-sourcing funding of strategic efforts.
During September and October several members of Enspiral Labs are traveling across Europe (http://open.enspiral.com/) to hold workshop to share share it’s lived experiment of how to run efficient, productive and fun participatory organisations.
This meetup is a unique community event opportunity to meet three veteran practitioners of self-organisation and creating meaning through work. They will share with us their experiences, some of their practices and hopefully give us an inspiring inside look of what it is like to work in a network such as Enspiral.
The workshop will bring a flavor of hands on and personal touch and will be lead by:
• Susan Basterfield, Enspiral
• Kate Beecroft, Enspiral
• Silvia Zuur, Enspiral
Specifically,
We will share stories from the network and practices that we use to organise. We’ll use activities and discussion to cover the principles of:
• Collaboration
• Autonomy
• Transparency
• Diversity
• Entrepreneurialism
• Mutual care
• Getting to outcomes without coercion or control
Workshop attendees will be invited to participate in activities to work through these approaches.
We’ll present examples from our lived experiment about how we;
• Make decisions
• Manage finances
• Decide strategy
• Embed culture
• Foster leadership
• Practice governance
This will be a paid community event with a low fee (€29 inc VAT/moms) intended to cover the costs of travel and to offer this extra opportunity to share and learn. If you are a registered student, contact us for a discount (will require student ID).
All ticket surplus (fees minus admin costs) will go directly to Enspiral Labs.
NOTE - When you register for this event you will be redirected to pay through by PayPal.
This event will be in english.
