The December London #TesterGathering will be on the 04th December 2017.

Address:

The Counting House,

50 Cornhill, EC3V 3PD, London

The plan:

We have a room from 6:00pm onwards

Talks:

Kwesi Peterson (http://lesswrong.com) "Critical thinking for Testers"

Humans have biases, and these biases often lead us to do sub-optimal testing. My talk will be about how we can harness the power of critical thinking to overcome these biases and provide more powerful testing.

Kwesi is a Cambridge maths graduate who decided software was more interesting than numbers. He's a been a black-box system tester at Metaswitch, and subscribes to the context-driven school of testing. Kwesi's also an aspiring rationalist (http://lesswrong.com/), and hopes to inspire a rationalist approach to testing.

Santhosh Tuppad (https://testinsane.com/about-santhosh-tuppad.html): "Your users are humans and let's live our promise of securing them."

We have been in the software world for long now and I think still security is not given enough importance. Maybe lack of skills or lack of expertise? How about kickstarting your security testing learning after this talk? Santhosh Tuppad will demonstrate some quick hits (Well, the real hacks) to motivate you and also give you tips to kickstart your security testing learning. Ready for it? Let's do it and nail it down.
