Re: [chesterfieldwriters] Serious Writers Wanted

I 'm very interested in this.  A few problems I may have is that , one; I'm a total novice, I've written 2 children stories, trying to illustrate them too ( never published.. "yet":)  two; I have several ideas on adult fiction .. its just getting started to get it together, and three;  the possible time of meetings may have conflicts for existing schedule.  Tues, and Thurs, I'm not able to get to a meeting until about 7:45 pm.   Monday's and wednesdays I have physical therapy for a recent surgery at 5ish pm.  I should be done with this by February though.   ( I'm just now getting back the use of my right arm .. silly accident :)     other than that I would love to participate.

I love your idea about the outline and all , I'm already doing something that may be similar to what you are trying to do with this group.

Are you a serious writer?

Do you wanna be?

I want to create a team of writers who are focused on creating an excellent first draft in six months time.

We will meet biweekly and push each other to produce.

We will critique each other's work.

And we will expect results from each other.

There is a catch...

I want to apply a new technique that is one-part outlining, one part format, and one part writing by the seat of your pants.

Please join me in this endeavor.

All I ask is that you commit to 2 meetings a month for the next six months and your commitment to completing a first draft in six months.

Who's game?

Greg
