Agile Writer 2-Day Intensive Workshop

From: Greg S.
Sent on: Friday, March 21, 2014 5:49 PM
Greg Smith will present his 2-Day Intensive Workshop on how to create a first-draft novel in 6 months Saturday and Sunday April 12–13 from 9am-4pm at the University of Richmond School for Continuing Studies (

This workshop usually takes 6 weeks to accomplish. But Greg has developed a 2-Day program that will help you define your Story Abstract, Hero Abstract, Synopsis, and Storyboard. You’ll get concentrated support from Greg who has already helped 19 Agile Writers create their first draft novels — 5 of which have been published.

The Agile Writer Method can help the beginner writer create a first-draft novel in six months. The process of getting from a blank page to a full manuscript is based on the writings of experts in the field and years of interaction with writers of all skill levels. The student will create a Storyboard (or plan) that will plot out their story from beginning to end.

Unlike other approaches that promise a novel in 30 days, the Agile Writer Method sets attainable goals. The Storyboard is a plan that allows the student to write ten pages a week for 26 weeks and complete a first draft.

The Agile Writer Method strives to remove all the questions that only serve to block the beginning writer from getting started, such as: How many words will the novel be? How many pages? How long will it take me to write it? Where do I introduce the Hero, the Opposition, and where will the climax occur? Be Agile!
