Debate/ Discussion night
Details
This will be a relaxed discussion and debate night centered primarily around philosophy and ethics, with room for the conversation to flow naturally based on the group.
Depending on how things develop, discussion may also touch on psychology, religion, politics, or thought-provoking hypotheticals. The direction will be shaped by the group rather than a strict agenda.
You can expect a mix of open discussion and informal debate. People are welcome to jump in, challenge ideas, ask questions, or simply listen. The focus is on exchanging perspectives and sharpening reasoning, not winning arguments or pushing opinions.
Because disagreement is part of the experience, this works best for people who are comfortable hearing opposing views and engaging calmly. Respectful disagreement is expected, and the goal is to keep the conversation thoughtful and productive rather than personal.
No preparation is required. Just show up open minded and participate at whatever level feels comfortable.
We’ll be meeting at the Charlotte Mecklenburg Library (University City Regional) on Tuesday, December 16 at 6PM.
If you have any questions, you can reach out to the organizer or text +1 (704) 750-0344.
