Autumn Equinox Ritual & Fire Ceremony

Details

We invite you to this Autumn Equinox Ritual & Fire Ceremony. Also known as Mabon, the Autumn Equinox is a time of duality, balance, intention and gratitude. Traditionally a festival centred around crops, food and abundance; we will start our ritual with a food alter, to honour the harvest of the summer and abundance all around. Please bring some food for your alter in the form of; apples, walnuts, pumpkins, dried corn, seasonal orange/red/yellow flowers, blackberries, or anything from your garden!

According to Celtic culture, the beginning of autumn is celebrated with the festival known as Haleg-Montah, which means "holy month”. The Autumn Equinox represents a time where the light/dark in the northern hemisphere is perfectly balanced, and there are strong themes of duality, and connection to the dark mother. Renato Guerrero, an Alchemist and Medicine Man, will give a talk on duality and the balance of dark and light. Preparing you for a Mabon Meditation to balance these inner energies as you go forward into the winter months.

To conclude this autumn equinox ritual, and prepare for the fire ceremony, we will hold an intention setting ritual. Mabon marks the start of the darkness, and its significant of setting manifestations/intentions into the earth and waiting for them to germinate; like seeds over the winter. You will each have the opportunity to write an intention and bury it into the earth; which you would like to see actualised by spring. In 6 months.

We will be supported by grandfather fire, and the evening will close with a gratitude ceremony and celebration around the fire.

Come be part of this beautiful experience of giving and receiving, balance and joy and enjoyment!
