Autonomous agents are on the rise, disrupting industries and shaping decisions in ways we’re only beginning to understand. But who defines what an “ethical” agent is? What happens to equity, sustainability, access, and employment as this technology scales?

This session will explore the critical question: how do we build agents responsibly as this technology scales into highly regulated and sensitive domains?

We’ll kick off with a quick primer on agentic systems, followed by a live demo showcasing how to build your first AI agent in Dataiku. Then, we’ll dive into an interactive panel discussion tackling the big challenges: governance trade-offs, technical safeguards, ethical risks, and accountability in agent behavior. You’ll hear firsthand from industry leaders on how to navigate the real-world complexities of deploying agents in production — not just prototypes — and how to balance innovation with responsibility.
