AI Agents Ottawa #2: Design Patterns, Real-World Use Cases, and Community Demos
Details
```
Come join us for the 2nd AI Agents Ottawa meetup. This isn’t a course and it isn’t a sales pitch. It’s a room full of enthusiasts and industry practitioners coming together to share what we’re learning, explore how agents can expand what people can do, and help each other turn that potential into real-world capability.
For this meetup, Matt will kick off the night with a practical talk on AI agent design patterns and real-world use cases: the patterns that keep showing up, what tends to break, and what actually makes agents useful beyond the demo.
Then we’ll open the floor for short community demos from anyone who wants to share a workflow, experiment, tool, or half-finished build. If you’re working on agents from an engineering, product, QA, data, design, or operations angle, this is a room to trade notes with other people figuring it out in Ottawa.
What to expect:
- a practical talk grounded in real use cases
- short demos from community members
- honest conversation about what’s working, what’s not, and what still feels unsolved
- a chance to meet others building with AI agents in Ottawa
Run of show:
7:00 PM: arrive and network
7:30 PM: welcome and quick room check-in
7:40 PM: Matt talk, AI Agent Design Patterns and Real-World Use Cases
8:05 PM: Q&A
8:15 PM: community demos
8:45 PM onward: group discussion and hangout
Interested in demoing something? Bring a workflow, experiment, tool, or work-in-progress and we’ll make room for a few short demos.
This is not a pitch night. It’s a place to learn, share, and get a little more capable together.
