IoT Waterloo & Microsoft Dev workshop - Oct 24th 6-9pm
Introduction to IoT Solutions using Device to Cloud Messaging (Hot Path Data Processing)
In this demo-heavy interactive session, you will learn about an end-to-end IoT solution simulating high velocity data emitted from smart meters and analyzed in the cloud. We will walk you through a lambda architecture, filtering a subset of the telemetry data for real-time visualization on the 'hot path'.
What will you learn? After attending this Workshop, you’ll have the knowledge of best practices and the practical learning skills to:
Understand the value of the Microsoft Azure IoT Hub and other Azure services for IoT solutions
Build your Applications for the Cloud: Learn how to architect and build your applications to take advantage of the scale that the cloud offers.
Build an end-to-end IoT solution that processes and analyzes data both in the field and in the cloud.
Workshop speaker:
Nik-Shahiar Nikkhah - Senior Consultant
Nik-Shahiar Nikkhah is Senior Consultant at “SQL data side” and “Azure IOT Coast 2 Coast” based in Toronto Canada, with more than 30 years of relational database experience, Nik is always keeping himself up to date with latest technologies specifically focusing on Azure. He has been in lots of senior positions like Data Engineer, Technical team lead, Data Architect, etc…, When it comes to dynamic designs and technologies he is known to be very rebellion, for example creating his own tool that created 100 SSIS packages in 43 seconds dynamically, or 150 Azure Data Factory Pipelines using a framework.
