What we’re about
Cutting through the noise and sharing real stories from people building with AI across industry, research and personal projects.
AI Signals (formerly AIDLE) began life in 2016 as the London Machine Learning Practice Meetup. After a pause during the pandemic, it was revived in 2022 and later relaunched as an independent community focused on applied AI.
Since then, we've hosted over 20 events, seen 75 talks and grown to more than 3,500 members. In that time we’ve discussed topics like fairness in AI, the developer experience, sustainable AI, and more. In 2025, we became AI Signals - a name that reflects our mission: cutting through the noise and sharing real stories from people building with AI across industry, research and personal projects.
We're volunteer-run, community-powered, and always curious.
How do I register to attend an event?
All our events are free to attend and open to everyone. We use Luma for event registration - just head to our Events page, find the one you’re interested in, and click Register to reserve your spot.
You’ll get a confirmation and a reminder before the event.
We will be shuttering our Meetup page later this year so please join our community on Luma to avoid missing out on future events.
Can’t join in person?
Most events are also live-streamed, with recordings uploaded to our YouTube channel afterwards.

How can I get involved?
AI Signals runs on good people and good energy. We’re always up for welcoming new volunteers.
Whether you’ve got time to help out at events, want to support behind the scenes or just feel like being part of something meaningful let’s talk!

Can I come and speak at an event?
Absolutely. If you’ve got a story to share, an idea worth exploring, or something you’ve learned while working with AI or machine learning, we’d love to hear from you.
You don’t need to be an expert speaker - just someone with something interesting to say.
Can we sponsor an event?
If you’re a company and interested in getting involved in partnering in some way then we’d love to hear from you!
Sponsorship helps us keep the AI Signals community thriving and gives your company a chance to connect with a smart, engaged audience. We offer a few flexible options, from one-off event sponsorships to deeper partnerships and co-hosted Spotlight events.

Agenda
06:30pm - Doors open, food and drink served
07:00pm - Welcome
07:05pm - Rachel Lee Nabors "The Death of the Browser"
In ten years, Internet Browsers may be a nostalgic memory. As enterprises face mounting API costs and integration headaches, a new paradigm is emerging. The internet's evolution from an open highway into a maze of walled gardens and monetized APIs has created significant challenges for businesses—but it has also set the stage for accessing and organizing the world’s information.
This talk traces our journey from the invention of the browser to the arms race of scraping for data and access to it to the dawn of AI agents, showing how the challenges of today opened the door to tomorrow. See how technologies refined by the web scraping community are combining with large language models to create practical alternatives to costly API integrations.
From the rise of platform monopolies to the emergence of AI agents, this timeline-based exploration will help you understand where we've been, where we are, and where we're heading. Join us for a glimpse of how AI agents are enabling a return to the era of free information with ""the web as the API.
07:45pm - Break
08:00pm - James Faure, Clario "Beyond the Model: Where the Real Value in AI Lies Now"
The foundational model race is over. OpenAI, Meta, Google, Anthropic, and others have cemented their place, and while incremental gains will come, the biggest leap left is in reasoning over large context windows. So, where’s the real opportunity now?
In this talk, we’ll explore the next frontier: the application layer, or more commonly known as Agents. The winners in AI will be those who master the design of vertical agents—specialised, accurate, and cost-effective tools built on top of existing models. We’ll unpack how to build strong MOATs through system prompt engineering, what separates useful agents from noisy ones, and why the next generation of high-value AI products will be defined not by the models they use, but by how they use them. Whether you're building, investing, or leading, this session will show you where to focus for real impact.
