About AI & Society
AI & Society launched in Brisbane in January 2025 with 20 people around a table. Today we're a community with members across Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, Perth, Adelaide, and Parramatta — brought together by a shared belief that the conversation about AI needs more human voices in it.
We run seminars, workshops, roundtables, practice labs, and community events that make AI accessible, practical, and genuinely interesting — for everyone, not just the technically inclined.
Founded by Sophia Arkinstall.
