What if we could make finding a job easier, less frustrating, and more successful for everyone?

Imagine having your own AI career assistant. One that helps you discover opportunities you might have missed, build a resume that highlights your strengths, prepare for interviews, and find employers who are genuinely looking for someone with your skills.

For millions of people, searching for work means spending countless hours scrolling through job boards, filling out repetitive applications, and sending resumes into what sometimes feels like a black hole.

Could we use AI to help someone who's been unemployed for months find their next opportunity? Help a parent returning to the workforce discover new career paths? Or give people without professional connections access to the kind of career guidance others pay hundreds of dollars for?

Of course, there are challenges. Employers are using AI too, and automated applications, unreliable recommendations, and biased screening systems could make an already frustrating process even worse.
Join us as we explore how AI could improve the job search, what people are already building, and what we might create together to help more people find meaningful employment!

What We'll Discuss
We'll share ideas, experiences, and examples of AI-powered job search tools, explore practical solutions, help each other workshop ideas and projects, and hopefully hang out and network a little along the way!

Some questions we'll explore:

  • What's possible? How could AI help people find better job opportunities, improve their resumes, prepare for interviews, and discover careers they might never have considered?
  • What problems should we solve? What's most frustrating about finding employment today? How could we help people struggling with long-term unemployment, career changes, limited experience, or a lack of professional connections?
  • What about the risks? Could AI-generated applications overwhelm employers and make it harder for qualified candidates to stand out? How do we address inaccurate recommendations, hiring bias, privacy, and the growing use of automated screening?
  • What are people building? Have you discovered, tried, or developed an AI tool that makes searching for work easier? What's working, what's not, and where are the biggest opportunities for improvement?
  • What could we build together? If we brought together job seekers, recruiters, career coaches, developers, and creative thinkers, what tools, services, or projects could we create to help people find meaningful work?
