TL;DR: Free, 60-minute session. David Sternberg spent five years running product design at HelloFresh and then wrote a book arguing that UX should be a measurable science instead of a gut-feel art. Eran Dror hosts. We break down what that claim actually changes for the person doing the work on Monday morning.
Most product decisions still come down to whose opinion is loudest in the room. We dress it up with a test result or a quote from an interview, but the honest version is that we are guessing well. AI is now pressing on both sides of that problem at once. Products can sense when a user is confused or overwhelmed and adjust while they are still on the screen. Research can model how people will behave before a single pixel is built. That is either the biggest upgrade UX has had in twenty years, or a very confident new way to be wrong.
This is a conversation, not a lecture. Eran pushes on the parts that sound too good, David defends them, and we stay on the practical question the whole time: what does a PM, a designer, or a researcher actually do differently on Monday? We also spend real time on the uncomfortable part, which is that a product good enough to sense hesitation is also good enough to exploit it.
Casual and cameras-off. Drop questions in the chat whenever they come up, and we leave time for open Q&A at the end.
Here's What You'll Walk Away With
• Art to science: what genuinely changes in your day-to-day when UX gets measurable, and what stays exactly the same.
• Products that notice: how apps read confusion and overwhelm in real time, with examples you are probably already using without realizing it.
• Design the rules, not the screens: what a designer's job becomes when the interface assembles itself around each user.
• Simulate before you build: why modeling behavior up front makes interviews and usability tests more valuable, not less.
• Past "which version won": how to explain the why behind an A/B result instead of just reporting the winner.
• Nudge or manipulate: a practical test for which side of that line you are on, before someone else decides for you.
• Something to try Monday: one small move that fits inside the sprints and roadmaps you already run.
Who Should Join?
• Product managers who make calls on incomplete evidence and want a better basis than the loudest opinion in the room
• UX researchers tired of tests that name a winner but never explain it
• Product designers wondering what the job looks like when interfaces adapt per user
• Design and research leaders deciding what to standardize on as AI lands in the workflow
• Founders and early PMs with no research team who still have to make good calls
No technical background required. Nothing to install, nothing to prepare.
About the Speakers
David Sternberg is Design Principal at NiaHealth and the author of The Flow Equation: Quantum-Fluid Mechanics of User Experience (July 2025), which argues that UX should be a measurable science instead of a gut-feel art. He spent five years at HelloFresh, most recently as Global Director of Product Design across the US, Canada, and Europe, and before that led UX and product design at OSRAM and creative direction at GE. He also founded the Utorics Institute, where he developed QFIT, a framework for modeling and predicting user behavior.
Eran Dror is the Co-Founder & CEO of Evermuse, an AI product intelligence company, and Managing Partner of Remake Ventures. He has helped 40+ startups raise $300M+ by finding product-market fit, including his first exit SetJam, a smart TV startup that sold to Motorola in 2012.
