In this meetup series, we will build an application using the .NET MAUI framework, leveraging Visual Studio Code as our primary development environment. We will use the GitHub Copilot Chat extension inside VS Code to assist with coding, exploration, and problem-solving throughout the sessions.
We will be working with GitHub Copilot in Agent mode, demonstrating how it can help plan features, generate code, refactor, and answer framework-specific questions in real time. This will give attendees hands-on exposure to modern AI-assisted development workflows while building a real application.
The first day of the meetup will focus on environment setup, including configuring VS Code, installing the required MAUI tooling, and enabling GitHub Copilot Chat with Agent mode. This session ensures everyone is ready and aligned before development begins.
For the rest of the week, we will collaboratively design and implement an app using .NET MAUI, incrementally adding features and discussing best practices along the way. These sessions will be practical, code-focused, and ideal for developers who want to see MAUI and Copilot used together in a real-world scenario.
