Dr. Hannes Mareen is a postdoctoral researcher at IDLab-MEDIA, Ghent University – imec, specializing in multimedia forensics and media security. He earned his Ph.D. in 2021 with a dissertation titled "Pirates of the Film Industry: The Curse of the Forensic Watermark," focusing on combating digital piracy through watermarking techniques.
