Daniel Hurst is Head of AI at Propel Ventures, where he leads the firm’s AI strategy and product development. He works closely with leadership teams and engineers to turn bold ideas into real-world impact - ensuring AI is practical, trustworthy, and aligned to business value.
With a background in software engineering, executive advisory, VC and large-scale transformation, Daniel brings deep experience in what it takes to be an AI-Native across various flavours of financial organisation cross retail, insurance & capital markets. He has led some of the highest profile technology initiatives across Australia, the US, and Europe, supporting some the world's leading organisations on their journey to adapt to an AI-first world.
Daniel is known for his clear, grounded approach to artificial intelligence - helping business leaders cut through the noise, understand what’s coming, and take confident steps forward. At Propel, he also shapes internal AI offerings and the design & onboarding of new "agentic consultants" that can reliably interact with both clients and human employees.
Kurt Yang (host)
Kurt is an experienced product leader, passionate about leveraging innovative digital technologies and lean product management methodology to help organisations and customers solve their problems effectively. Over the years, Kurt accumulated solid product management experience from companies like CBA, VMware, and Cashrewards.
