About us

Vibe Code DFW is a beginner-friendly community for people who want to use AI to build real products—without needing a computer science background. We host in-person meetups across DFW for entrepreneurs, students, creators, and professionals who want to learn by doing and make steady progress.

If you don’t have an idea yet, no problem—we provide build prompts so you can still leave with something working.

Expect practical demos, guided build sessions, and working groups that turn ideas into prototypes you can actually use. Whether you’re starting from zero or already technical, the goal is simple: leave each meetup with clearer direction, new connections, and something you shipped.

We’re proud to be official community partners of Lovable and Manus.

What we do

  • Hands-on build nights (bring an idea or pick a prompt)
  • Short demos + templates you can reuse
  • Feedback sessions to unblock and ship faster
  • Optional accountability to keep momentum between meetups

This community is supported and operated by the Human Labor Preservation Delegation (HLPD), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit (foundation of WhitegloveAI) dedicated to moving people from displacement to empowerment through AI literacy training. By participating in Vibe Code DFW, you're part of a larger mission to ensure AI creates opportunity for all, not just a few. All proceeds from our events support HLPD's mission in partnering with cities to offer free AI Literacy Clinics for displaced workers.

If you'd like to learn more about HLPD or feel compelled to give towards our mission, please visit www.hlpd.org.

We're proud to be official community partners of Lovable and Manus, and sponsored by WhitegloveAI.

Vibe Code DFW — Group Rules

  • Be respectful. No harassment, hate, or personal attacks.
  • Protect beginners. No gatekeeping or “RTFM” energy.
  • No spam or pitching. Share your work; don’t farm leads. Ask before promoting anything.
  • Stay practical. Bring problems, prototypes, and questions. We build here.
  • Share the room. Don’t dominate discussion or derail sessions.
  • Respect privacy. No recording without permission. Don’t repost others’ work or ideas without consent.
  • Use AI responsibly. No illegal/harmful use cases. Don’t paste sensitive data into tools you don’t control.
  • Organizer decisions stand. We moderate to keep the space safe and productive.

This group was formerly known as AI in McKinney. The former organizer, Bryan Plaster, generously offered to transition his community to support the HLPD mission. We're deeply grateful for his work in building this foundation and for his continued support of accessible AI education in DFW.
