From Prompts to Proof: Governing Generative & Agentic AI for the Next Generation

This is a joint meeting with Wichita Data Professionals:

Modern organizations are adopting AI at scale—from generative tools that create content to agentic systems that plan and execute tasks across business applications.

This session will help clarify the AI adoption within enterprise. We will differentiate generative AI, reasoning and chain-of-thought behaviors, chatbots vs. agentic systems, and personal assistants vs. workflow orchestration - pinpointing where value is created and where risk is introduced.

We will also discuss core capabilities of AI Security Posture Management (AISPM) in practical business terms: continuous monitoring, risk identification, data protection, cloud integrations that enforce least privilege, and the creation of an AI Bill of Materials (AI-BOM) to document models, tools, datasets, and dependencies.

About our speaker:

Jerald Dawkins, Ph.D., is CIO and Co-Founder at DAIS, where he focuses on securing and governing enterprise AI so organizations can deploy at scale with confidence. His work centers on AI orchestration, AI security posture management, and data governance for real-world agentic systems. He previously co-founded True Digital Security and TokenEx, building companies that protected sensitive data for regulated industries. A former Graduate Research Lead at The University of Tulsa, he earned his Ph.D. in Computer Science there.
