On Thursday, 12 November, join us at the main location of The Hague University of Applied Sciences for a new edition of Pie & AI, where we will explore three emerging professions in the age of AI:

Rather than speculating about what future jobs might look like, we will hear directly from people already working in these emerging fields.

🗣️ Peter Becker - AI Translator
Peter Becker is lecturer at The Hague University of Applied Sciences, teaching in bachelor and master programs on data science & AI. He also provides in company training on AI and document management for governmental organizations.

Talk:
The Hague University has started a new master program: AI translator. What is an AI translator, why is it needed and what does a Translator do? Peter will talk about the challenges of AI implementations a translator faces.

🔐 Davide Cioccia - AI Security Engineer
Davide Cioccia is the founder of DCODX, an ethical hacking, and security training firm focusing offensive and AI security. Speaker and trainer at multiple international conferences like Black Hat, DEF CON, HITB, OWASP AppSec and NDC, he is currently leading the AI Security Engineer Netherlands chapter in Amsterdam.

Talk:
Everyone suddenly wants an AI Security Engineer, but nobody seems to agree on what that actually means. From breaking AI systems to securing agents, and from using AI to hunt vulnerabilities to redesigning Product Security itself, this talk explores AI for Security versus Securing AI and the strange mix of offensive, defensive, architecture, and AI skills behind this emerging role.

⚖️ Kanan Dhru - AI Governance Specialist
Kanan Dhru is a 3x legal innovation founder, investor, and academic working at the intersection of law, design, and technology. Kanan holds a law degree from the London School of Economics and a Masters in Public Administration. She currently serves as researcher at the Multilevel Regulation Lectorate in Legal Technology at The Hague University of Applied Sciences. Beyond academia, she consults in the legal AI space, advising leading law firms and government bodies. She serves as an Operational Board Member of Legal Hackers, as well as serve as the Advisor to the Global LegalTech Hub and TEDLaw. As an entrepreneur, she founded Lawtoons, an award-winning legal design initiative that uses comics to make law accessible to children.

Talk:
AI governance is becoming a profession of its own. Across public and private sectors, organisations need people who can turn principles and regulation into everyday practice. This can take shape of risk assessments, audits, policies and accountability structures. My presentation will look at the roles taking shape in this intersection of law, technology and ethics, and at what are the newer skills being called for.
