Wailtlist folks: Please note that video will be taken and distributed as soon as possible after the event. Each presenter has their own website, blog, etc. and so I will email out a link to their content. Please note this may be a day or days depending if the presenter wants to update their slides, etc. I'm leaving it to the presenters to determine how they wish to upload their presentations and/or videos.

We currently capped the waitlist threshold at 305 (25 from the MongoDB group). Wednesday I attended the beginning of a PhP event using the same rooms. I found the room has ~220 seats. With 300 reservations and estimated 75%+/- 5% to attend out the rsvps, this puts us at ~210 to ~240. I will send out emails again on Tuesday asking those who may have last minutes plans and can't attend to change their rsvp.

6:50 - 7:00: Previews of Upcoming Events - this is akin to when you attend a movie and there are announcements, and so more it is just some things that hopefully will be entertaining as folks come in and get their seats.

7:00 - 7:05: Acknowledgements

7:05 - 7:20: Overview of Big Data and Hadoop: Jeffrey Kelly, who is an industry analyst covering Big Data, will be presenting the state of the industry. In addition to early adopting web-based companies, he will be covering a variety of "use cases" that are now occurring across more industry verticals.

7:20 - 7:30: Web/Mobile and Big Data: Sanjay Vakil, who is a technology manager at Trip Advisor, will be presenting past and current Big Data projects that their team have been developing.

7:30 - 7:55: Enterprise Case Studies: Rob Lancaster and Omer Trajman of Cloudera, a company which provides enterprise solutions that extends upon Hadoop functionality, will be presenting a high-level overview of big data and associated applications. Secondly, they will be presenting a variety of "use cases" including diving into technical details of Hadoop and related software.

8:05 - 8:30: MongoDB & Hadoop: Aaron Cordova of Interllective, Inc. will be presenting a quick intro to MongoDB, and also provide an overview of text analysis at the Interllective, followed by how they use MongoDB and Hadoop to perform text analysis.

8:30 - 8:50: Wikepedia "Open Data" Project: Satish Gopalakrishnan and Vineet Manohar will be presenting their Wikipedia / Hadoop project which they created as part of the Hack/Reduce event this past summer at Microsoft NERD. Their computer program was voted the coolest hack using Hadoop with open data.
