Big Data DC Meetup #5 (with Cassandra DC)

Happy to announce that our next meetup will be on October 17th, and that we'll be joining forces for this one with the Cassandra DC group.

We've got two great Cassandra-focused sessions lined up.

[7:00-7:15] - Mingle/welcome/intro

[7:15-7:45] - Ben Coverston from DataStax (http://www.datastax.com) (which you may also remember as Riptano) reviews new developments in Apache Cassandra 1.0.

[7:45-8:00] - Break and discussion

[8:00-8:30] - Eric Evans from Acunu (http://www.acunu.com) dives into Cassandra Query Language; new updates and driver progress

[8:30-??] - Informal discussion, drink having

The meetup will be on Monday this time, in the same location near Tyson's corner. Clearspring (http://www.clearspring.com) is hosting, Resonate (http://www.resonatenetworks.com/) is providing the food. As usual, there will be a fine selection of beer and other beverages.
