Folks,

It's been a few months since our last get-together. Let's try to get together at the end of September for snacks, beer, and good conversation. P. Taylor Goetz from Hortonworks will do a use case review and a technical deep dive on several Storm projects.

The talk will cover:

• Security Operations Monitoring, Analyzing 1.2 million packets per second security operations and realtime threat detection.

• Data Pipelines and Integrating Real time Web Services: Master Data Management & ETL Pipelines

• A review of Apache Kafka other technologies often used in conjunction with Apache Storm

Thanks to sponsorship from O'Reilly, we will be giving away some "big data" books, and will also be raffling off a free ticket to Strata NY/Hadoop World.

Hope to see you all there,

Ilya
