AI & Prompt Engineering Meetup Munich

Details
Join us in our Munich office on October 17th, 2024 for the second AI & Prompt Engineering Meetup, an interdisciplinary gathering for AI enthusiasts and experts from all backgrounds. After a successful inaugural event last year, we're excited to continue providing a platform for knowledge sharing and networking among fans and practitioners of AI and prompt engineering. We'll once again bring together business professionals, developers, and researchers to explore the latest advancements in Generative AI and discuss innovative business applications.
We'll delve into the latest developments in Artificial Intelligence, its continued growth, innovations, and applications. With a special focus on prompt engineering, our meetup offers valuable insights into crafting effective prompts for enhanced responses and outcomes with generative AI tools like ChatGPT and a unique opportunity to explore the technology that powers Large Language Models and other AI tools.
You can look forward to new informative talks, networking opportunities, and a chance to reconnect with like-minded individuals over pizza and drinks.
Both talks will also be streamed live: https://tngtech.zoom.us/j/96270277514
Let's continue exploring the future of AI together!
Abstracts:
It's all about AI - Promises and Challenges in Computer Vision and NLP
Martin Förtsch (Principal Consultant) and Thomas Endres (Managing Partner, TNG Technology Consulting GmbH)
What can Artificial Intelligence achieve today? In this talk, Martin Förtsch and Thomas Endres will show numerous live examples to point out whether the term is an overhyped buzzword or the key technology of our digital future.
The TNG Innovation Hacking Team has been working on numerous AI projects in the field of computer vision and natural language processing for years. The speakers will take you on a journey through the world of Artificial Intelligence and its architecture. Based on various innovation projects, they will illuminate the basic structure of the underlying neural networks, but also their limitations.
A firework of live demonstrations and showcases completes the entertaining experience. There will be neural networks creating art, deep fakes in real time, an NLP chatbot, and an AI that can generate social media comments.
Don't Forget to Test: Crafting Reliable Chatbots
Sebastian Macke (Lead Software Engineer, QAware)
Traditional approaches to testing don't work with chatbots and RAG (Chat with your data) applications! Simply comparing a response to an optimal answer is impossible due to the statistical nature of LLMs and their tendency for hallucinations. Additionally tests are difficult because of the subjectivity and scope.
What makes up for a good answer and how does a chatbot react if you ask questions outside of the defined rules? We need to think about new testing techniques and resulting KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) to ensure the reliability, accuracy, faithfulness and relevance of our chatbot's responses. These techniques are still being researched and may need to be adapted to fit specific use cases.
We will outline the current state of research regarding chatbot-testing, present a set of KPIs important for chatbots, demonstrate the state of the test frameworks and finish with an outlook about future developments.
