NLP Magic #3 - Natural Language Processing with Spacy

NLP with Spacy

Spacy is currently the most popular NLP library in Python. During the talk, we show how to use different language models like German, French or Chinese. As a supplementary task, we train a new language model based on an existing one. Named Entities is one the NLU method that is commonly used and we show how to build your own one with Spacy. Finally, we build two simple pipelines for some typical tasks and use the visual tools available in Spacy to understand better the details of the algorithms behind.

Our Speaker: Dr. Karol Przystalski

Karol is CTO and founder of Codete. He obtained a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the Institute of Fundamental Technological Research, Polish Academy of Sciences, and was a research assistant at Jagiellonian University in Cracow. His role at Codete is focused on leading and mentoring teams. The company has built a research lab that is working on machine learning methods and big data solutions in specialty areas such as pattern recognition and HDP.
