Portland: Agentic Systems Deep Dive — Building the Next Generation of AGI
Details
This edition is Sponsored by GEA (portland.agiglobalsummit.org)
We are kicking off 2026 by focusing on the frontier of AI: AGI and complex agentic systems. This is the builders’ room for engineers, researchers, and technical founders actively shipping code that orchestrates models, manages long-horizon tasks, and pushes the boundaries of autonomous systems.
Join the world’s most curated community of active AI builders on Wednesday, December 3rd, 2025 from 6:30 PM - 8:30 PM in Portland, OR. The specific venue address will be provided upon acceptance.
### The Signal: What We’re Building Now
The rapid advancement of frontier models like MiniMax M2, Kimi K2, and GPT-5.1-Codex-Max means the technical bottleneck has shifted to robust agent architecture and orchestration. This meetup is dedicated to builders actively solving that problem.
We are looking for demos that tackle the hard, practical challenges surfaced by recent innovations:
- Orchestration: Implementing Anthropic’s LLMs Write Code for Tool Use proposal for token efficiency and reliability.
- Embodiment: Practical applications and hacks using concepts from SIMA 2 in complex, commercial environments.
- Infrastructure: Real-world deployments of agent managers, coordination tools, or parallel task workflows, such as those found in the Antigravity IDE.
- Long-Horizon Tasks: Demonstrating success in long-context tasks using models like Gemini 3 Pro or GPT-5.1-Codex-Max for multi-day software engineering projects.
Attendance is highly curated and capped at 150 builders to ensure a high-signal environment. Entry is earned, not granted.
### Tonight's Venue :
- Leigh Fair-Smiley, a machine learning researcher,
- Mounir Shita, a physicist who worked on the science of intelligence and artificial general intelligence research,
- Andrew Becker, an AI engineer who developed AI personas to reduce hallucinations in large language models.
