In-person workshop I want to teach you how to leverage AI tools intelligently to learn and practice a new language.
The structure:
1. Presentation: 10/15 minutes "Intro to AI for learning languages + suggestion for a few principles " (borrowing from this awesome presentation by the legendary Chris Lorsdale: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d0yGdNEWdn0)
2. Hands-on practice with group discussion (~20 minutes) + (hopefully with some coffee :))
3. Presentation: 15/20 minutes - "AI Tools/Tips & Techniques for Learning Languages"
4. Hands-on practice in group (~25 minutes)
5. Final hangout/Q&A to address specific pain points and questions.
Hopefully we'll cover at least 60% of:
- How to create comprehensible input and focus on high-frequency vocabulary
- Building physiological training for pronunciation and listening
AI-Powered Applications:
- AI Language Parent: Use ChatGPT's advanced voice mode to simulate the perfect language learning partner who understands your level and provides safe practice
- Immersive Practice: Leverage chat interfaces for reading, writing, and conversation practice when traveling isn't possible

But I want this to be about practice, not about people sitting through me talking their ears off about how to use AI for this and that, so the focus will be in hands-on! :).
Requirements:
- Access to ChatGPT(recommended)/Claude/Gemini or any AI chat interface with voice capabilities
- Basic smartphone/computer skills
- Commitment to applying the methods during the workshop
- Ideally you'll have brought a laptop and/or smartphone (to apply the stuff)
