Created at the CU Denver Anschutz Medical Campus in 2015, the Academia Industry Alliance (AIA) has grown to include over 600 postdoctoral fellows, research associates, engineers, and graduate and medical students. Since establishment, we have organized 20 major networking events with more than 400 academics and nearly 200 different life science companies. You can learn more about us at: www.ucdenver.edu/aia 
As members of AIA, we are interested in learning more about how to transition to the industry, how to create a company, and how to succeed in the biotech/life sciences sphere. We established a number of networking platforms, such as the Brews and Biotech Happy Hour (BBHH), in the hopes that we can help foster networking for collaborations, talent- and resource-seeking relations, and potentially bridge the gap for academics into industry for their next step. For example, conversing about the experiences of individuals in the industry in the casual BBHH setting is invaluable to AIA members. Not only could we gain some insight from those in the biotech/life sciences sphere, but the event may be a great opportunity for company members to meet potential collaborators or local young talent who could add valuable skills and/or expertise to their company in the future.

Join us every third Thursday of the month from 5-7:30pm at Ursula Brewery, adjacent to Anschutz Medical Campus, to tap into CU talent over drinks during this great networking opportunity!
