About Dr. Vipul Bansal
Dr. Vipul Bansal is a Tenure-Track Assistant Professor in the Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering at the University of Florida. He received his Ph.D. from the University of Wisconsin–Madison holds a B.Tech. in Production and Industrial Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee. His research focuses on Multimodal data fusion in stochastic processes and large-scale decision-making using Markov decision processes and agentic systems. His application areas include advanced manufacturing, unmanned aerial systems, reliability and planning, and healthcare. He has been recognized with the 2025–2026 Early Excellence in Teaching Award at UW-Madison and the Best Paper Award in the 2025 IISE Transactions Focus Issue on Data Science, Quality and Reliability. He is also a recipient of the Gilbreth Memorial Fellowship from the Institute of Industrial and Systems Engineers.
