Well, 2026 happened.

AI moved fast. Everyone shipped something. Everyone tried an agent. Some things worked. Some things definitely did not. Is AI getting scary? Should it be slowed down?

For our last AIOps KC meetup of the year, let’s take a step back and talk about it.

We’ll do a short presentation looking back at some of the interesting things that happened across AI, DevOps, cloud, platform engineering, and AIOps in 2026.

Then we’ll spend most of the evening just hanging out and talking about where things might be going in 2027.

Nothing too formal. No long talks. No sales pitch.

Just a small presentation, some drinks and food, and a room full of people who are curious about this stuff.

### What we’ll talk about

• What actually changed in AI and Ops during 2026
• What worked and what turned out to be mostly hype
• AI agents and what they are actually useful for
• How teams are using AI in cloud, DevOps, SRE and platform engineering
• What we might see in 2027
• What people in KC are building and experimenting with

And of course, plenty of time to talk, argue about AI, compare notes, and meet people.
