Abstract:
Ever wished your plants could take care of themselves while you’re away? In this talk and live demo, I’ll introduce Plant Buddy - a AgTech IoT project built with Arduino, MQTT, InfluxDB and LLM Model and a bunch of sensors that monitor light, soil moisture, and water levels in real time. It can even water the plant automatically when needed. Think of it as a smart companion that keeps your plant happy and alive, even when you’re not around. Simple, practical, and a great way to explore IoT hands-on.

Bio:
Suyash Joshi is a Senior Developer Advocate at InfluxData, focused on AI and data engineering. He brings 15 years of experience across Oracle, RingCentral and InfluxData. He regularly speaks at technical conferences on building practical, real-time systems that connect data to the physical world. In his free time, he leads the Magineer London meetup (3,400+ members) and serves as a UK STEM Ambassador.
