Details
This presentation is open for members and non-members, faculty, staff, and students.
ABSTRACT
Devised in the 1980s, 3d printing, originally known as “rapid prototyping” enabled companies to develop prototypes quickly and more accurately than with other methods. Manufacturers, engineers, artists, educators, medical professionals and hobbyists alike are using this technology today in a range of applications.
3d Printing in healthcare is in a constant evolution, revolutionizing the way we train and treat patients.
With that in mind, this presentation will discuss 3d printing and how St Luke’s University Health Network 3D Print and Innovation Lab is using it to improve the quality of care and improved patient outcomes.
Presentation will also take you through The Cauldron, a collaborative “think tank” through St Luke’s University Health Network 3D Print and Innovation Lab where health care workers, faculty, students, and entrepreneurs come together to make a difference in health care and medicine.
