ABSTRACT:
The topic is called Continuous Monitoring and will cover monitoring, pen testing, data sources, organizational elements, and more in the medical device cyber security industry.
ABOUT THE SPEAKER:
Robert Smigielski is a Cyber Security Architect and embedded software engineer directly analyzing and responding to security lifecycle of B.Braun medical devices. He covers the spectrum from policy to explaining our cyber position to customers through software patching.
His philosophy is - protect the device to protect the patient and the hospital.
Years of experience in building embedded systems has taught him how to think like an attacker.
He is a hands-on software designer and developer with deep experience in embedded systems as well as application level software development. He writes custom device drivers for Linux and real time operating systems for embedded platforms. He uses and maintains board support packages for embedded boards in the medical device industry. Cyber security is his current area of focus requiring detailed analysis of software internals.
He has proven experience in software life cycle development process - from concept through design, development, integration, and customer support. Experienced building applications to test hardware and software controllers such as various Arm SOC's from Freescale, Texas Instruments, IBM and X86 platforms. Deep knowledge of C, C++, assembly, GNU/WindRiver/Other compilers, Linux tool chains, Linux cross platform development.

We will be meeting in-person.
