This presentation is open for members and non-members, faculty, staff, and students.

Our annual Technology Leaders Forum provides an opportunity to get a pulse of where we are with the "State of IT" in our region. You will have an opportunity to ask and receive feedback from the advisory panel and listen/participate on discussions with your peers.

This year’s theme: The State of Information Technology in Higher Education.

PRESENTERS: For this year's advisory panel, it is a pleasure to introduce the following technology leaders:

  • Mark Albert: Chief Information Officer at DeSales University, has more than two decades of experience leading successful IT initiatives in higher education. His background has given him a deep understanding of the strategic role of IT in both the administration and the academy and a broad range of expertise including strategic planning, data analytics, business intelligence, ERP, project management, expectation management, innovation management, programming and analysis, customer service, mentoring, and operations. Mark holds an M.S. in Information Systems and a B.A. in English literature from the Shippensburg University of Pennsylvania.
  • Brian Gardner, Brian oversees client and instructional technology services along with audio/video, academic, infrastructure, security, and enterprise technology as CIO at Northampton Community College. He holds an MS in Technology Management along with certifications as a PMP and an ITIL v4 Strategic Leader. Brian’s primary areas of interest are strategic planning, team building, enterprise architecture, needs assessment, and change management. His 20+ year career has focused on how technology can best advance teaching, learning, and the overall success of an academic institution.
  • James Monek: As Director of Technology Infrastructure & Operations at Lehigh University, teams under his leadership are responsible for the campus cyberinfrastructure including network, telecommunications, data centers, cloud services, systems, applications, and operations. James has over 25 years of experience and leadership in Information Technology, growing organizations, driving change by building successful teams and implementing leading-edge solutions. The primary focus is on providing technology, infrastructure, and collaborative solutions to support and foster innovation in higher education.
  • Troy Vingom: Troy is currently responsible for overseeing all IT services as CIO at Kutztown University including governance, cybersecurity, communications, infrastructure, cloud technologies, applications, and operations. For over 30 years, Troy has been an effective business and technology leader with experience in several verticals including higher education, international manufacturing, energy, technology, and managed services. Troy is currently the CIO liaison to the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education (PASSHE) Executive Leadership Team representing the ten (10) state universities.

LOCATION & DIRECTIONS:
The meeting will be held at DeSales University (directions) -> DeSales University Center and Bookstore (campus map) -> Trexler Room (to the right when you enter the building).

DINNER FEES:
For members and guests who are planning to attend the optional networking dinner portion of the meeting, there is a $20 fee to cover the facility costs, paid via cash at the door upon arrival. Thank you.
