Cloud Resilience in the Real World
Details
Our next AITP Lehigh Valley regional meeting will be held on Wednesday, February 25, 2026, in the Trexler Room at DeSales University Center & Bookstore.
This presentation is open for members and non-members, faculty, staff, and students.
ABSTRACT:
Cloud Resilience in the Real World: Practical Patterns with IaaS, VMWare, Veeam, Zerto & Acronis
Modern IT leaders need resilience that’s affordable, auditable, and fast to recover. In this session, we’ll unpack practical cloud patterns—IaaS for burst/seasonal capacity, DR/BR-as-a-Service for sub-hour recovery, and proven workflows with VMware plus Veeam, Zerto, and Acronis. You’ll learn how peers design geo/vendor diversity without complexity, minimize hyperscaler egress surprises, map controls to compliance (HIPAA/FFIEC/NIST), and choose runbooks that your team can actually execute. This session is planned to be educational and tool-agnostic, will illustrate with anonymized real-world scenarios, and leave you with a decision checklist you can take back to your next DR tabletop.
