Hangatýr: Odin as the Hanged God

In the Thelemic year of The Hanged Man, join us as we explore the symbolism behind the enigmatic Norse god Odin and the story of his self-sacrifice by hanging himself from the World Tree. Drawing on Norse mythology, archaeology, psychology, and philosophy, this talk explores themes of sacrifice, ecstatic experience, initiation, wisdom, and the transformative pursuit of spiritual knowledge.
We will explore how the principles of old stories can be transformed for a New Aeon that values personal responsibility, initiative, and freedom while walking the path of the Great Work.
