Join us for the next Enterprise Architect User Group, where Derek Cope will define the purpose of enterprise architecture and explain its importance for business strategy. He will show you a number of enterprise frameworks and architecture practices, followed by leading a group discussion. With 25 years’ experience in the IT and Telecommunications industry, Derek has spent the past 5 years driving transformational change at a corporate level, to achieve efficiency and effectiveness. Derek has a deep knowledge across the broad spectrum of business functions, through a career progressing from Business Analysis to Enterprise Architecture. He has worked for two of the largest Telecommunications Companies in New Zealand, as well as IT service providers; Open Telecommunications, Agilent Technologies and Alcatel-Lucent.

Derek is a proficient economic modeller and Enterprise Architect, using value drivers as the foundation for any transformational investment. He has had significant exposure to various system development life cycles, is delivery focused, and has implemented IT delivery capability in both communication companies and software development practice contexts.
