Agile Development with Enterprise Tester

Our special guest speaker is Enterprise Tester user, John Blanch - Product Development Director at Orion Health. John will be discussing:

• Orion's experiences with agile software development;

• the impact of using Enterprise Tester;

• user stories, acceptance criteria and traceability.

The Enterprise Tester User Group is a great opportunity for attendees to share best practice and network with other professionals. The Enterprise Tester team will also be there to facilitate discussion and help with any technical questions you may have.

John used to work in the financial industry and switched from share broking to testing in 2000 after getting involved with developing an on-line share trading platform, while he was working at TD Waterhouse in Sydney Australia. John came back to New Zealand in 2005 and starting working as a test consultant at Orion Health in the Professional Services Group. In 2006 he took on the test leadership role in Development at Orion health, there were 10 testers and no formal testing processes. Currently there are around 60 or 70 testers across 4 development sites at Orion Health and their products are increasingly subject to strict regulatory requirements. Their challenge has been to satisfy those requirements whilst increasing their development "agility".
