Hi everyone!

2019 has come and gone. With 2020 shaping to be a good year for gaming in Auckland and in New Zealand proper, we thought it best to cap off the year with one last #AKLGameDev Meetup.

This time it is something special as it is a combined event with Auckland Indies, the more chillaxed version of the Meetups as one might say.

LOCATION:
We have another new venue, well it's more of a send-off venue as we will be more flexible and expand our operations elsewhere in the CBD.

This last Meetup will be held at AUT (WG126 & WG128, Sir Paul Reeves Building - WG Building, 2 Gov Fitzroy Pl · Auckland) where the previous Meetups were held. This will be one for the ages.

You can locate the place here: https://www.google.co.nz/maps/place/AUT+-+Sir+Paul+Reeves+Building+-+WG+Building/@-36.8531545,174.7635439,17z/data=!3m1!4b1!4m5!3m4!1s0x6d0d47e44df6271d:0x169e2069f08497df!8m2!3d-36.8531545!4d174.7657326?hl=en&authuser=0

Art with Delaney King:
Delaney is well known for many things, Artist for Where The Wild Things Are, Creature Artist for Fury and Character Artist for Civilization IV to name a few. She has also done numerous conferences, giving lectures on art, inclusivity and her experience in the game dev industry as a female artist.

With art being her forte, she will be giving a talk about art and design followed by a quick Q & A session which is a good opportunity for any budding artist/game developer to delve to her well of knowledge

DETAILS:
5:50pm Doors open
6:00pm Art with Delaney King
7:00pm Open Microphone / Announcements
7:10pm Progress Bar/Auckland Indies

ANNOUNCEMENTS:
The NZGDA and others will have announcements at the end of the session. If you have an announcement please fill out this form ( https://forms.gle/jUrdPMGSkNRBr3BEA ).

PROGRESS BAR:
Since it is a shared event with Auckland Indies, this Progress Bar would be different in that after the main event with Delaney, food will be served along with an open bar for anyone interested to get refreshments and dinner. Afterwards, feel free to have a chat with any of the attendees, who knows they may be your next big break ;)

If you have an unfinished game, or art, or anything else you'd like to share bring it along for people to play so you can get some ideas for where to go with your designs next.
We encourage studios to send along recruiters and budding game developers to bring along their work to show and CVs.

If you want to request a screen or table please fill out this form ( https://forms.gle/jUrdPMGSkNRBr3BEA ). It's the same form as above.
