A Chat on Elegant Game Design:
Heya! Hope you guys have been doing well and catching up with all things #gamedev.
For this month’s #AKLGameDev Meetup, we’ll be talking about Game Design. Specifically, physical game design and we have a panel of people that’ll give insight on different perspectives for interaction.
A little bit about the speakers:
Richard - Richard has worked in roles with two facets in mind: play, and education. From teaching in public education, tertiary learning design, to game design, he values using his skills in ways that contribute to a greater social good.
Mike - Mike is the Lead Game Designer at Joy Business Academy. He has been in the game dev industry for more than 10 years, ranging from freelance to academics and publishing multiple books on history and game design.
Toby - Toby is the co-founder of creative consultancy at The Open Fort - developing enrichment and engagement through Creativity, Wellbeing, and Play. He has also worked across various roles in the media industry for more than a decade.

We encourage studios to send along recruiters and budding game developers to bring along their work to show and CVs.
