We have our newest member giving a talk on machine learning.
This is his description of the talk.

"Machine learning is a confluence of mathematics, computer science, data analysis and statistics. It is a rapidly evolving field with utility in many sectors. This talk looks at the historical evolution, mathematical foundation and computational implementation of machine learning. We will have a live demonstration developing and analyzing machine learning models on real and simulated data."
