What we’re about

Obsessive-Compulsive Disorders Support Group

Are you looking for a supportive and educational environment to help you manage your obsessive-compulsive disorder and related conditions? Look no further than our support group!

Our goal is to provide a safe and judgment-free space for members to share their experiences, challenges, and coping strategies. We'll educate you on the latest research, treatment options, and self-management techniques for OCD and related disorders. We aim to foster a sense of community and mutual understanding among those affected by these often misunderstood conditions and empower members to take an active role in their recovery and advocate for their mental health needs.

Our meetings follow a structured format that includes opening check-in and sharing of experiences, a presentation or discussion on relevant topics such as understanding the neurobiology of OCD, exposure and response prevention (ERP) therapy, mindfulness and acceptance-based strategies, and navigating relationships and social situations. We also offer group discussions, Q&As, and closing reflections and announcements.

Our group is open to anyone aged 18 and older who has been diagnosed with or is seeking support for obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), body dysmorphic disorder (BDD), hoarding disorder, trichotillomania (hair-pulling disorder), excoriation (skin-picking) disorder, and other obsessive-compulsive and related disorders. Family members, friends, and caregivers of those affected are also welcome to attend.

Attendance at our meetings is free, but registration is required. Regular meeting times will be established following the formation of a group of interested individuals. We invite you to join our supportive community and help you navigate better mental health. Contact the group organizer to sign up or if you have any questions.
