What does positive reinforcement dog training mean to you?

Details

I must mention that I am not a professional dog trainer and would like to have a group of people to work with who can think out of the box and have fun with their dogs.

i have decided to organize this group after spending a lot of time trying to train Jack (the dog, on the right) using positive reinforcement training based on Susan Garrett's methods and a few classes. I still haven't been able to obtain good recall or loose leash walking. I am sure that there are other people having similar problems and would like to meet up with you to see what ideas you have and what are your challenges. The first meeting will be just a get to know each other meeting so we can decide how we can support each other.

These are my ideas for agenda

  1. What does positive reinforcement dog training mean to you?
  2. Where has it been successful for you and what challenges are you having?
  3. What resources have you been having using?
  4. How could a group help you with?
  5. How should we meet in the future?

Please send any agenda items that you would like to discuss.
I would like to start with a small group of people initially to focus in on the structure of what we would like to do.

IMPORTANT MAKE SURE YOU BRING COOKIES TO THE MEETING TO REWARD YOURSELF FOR ANY IDEAS YOU HAVE. Animal cookies etc. can be used as well as pieces of meat.
